Last year was fun, but this year will be stepping it up a notch! Starting at 9pm, we’ll have 3 special races, hosted at the beautiful Meredith College Track. Here are our Mens Sub 4 Challenge, Womens Sub 4.5 Challenge, and our “Raleigh Finest Mile” fields.

Here’s what we have in store:
Women’s Sub 4.5 Challenge(9:30pm)Some of the most talented female runners in the country will take on the 4:30 mile. Full field here&Men’s Sub 4 Challenge(9:40pm)Like last year, former Broughton, Georgetown, and NC State standout, Sandy Roberts, will lead the field as he looks to improve on his personal best time of 4:01.24. Raleigh’s Finest Mile(9:15pm)Get excited for a race of local celebrities. Leading the field is former Mayor Charles Meeker! Did you know he was a runner? Well now you do, and a good one at that! He competed in 20 marathons, including 10 Boston’s and has a personal best marathon time of 2:43:36. Full field hereWe’ll handicap this race to make it exciting, meaning each competitor will get a certain head start according to their predicted mile time. This should make for an interesting finish! |
