Beer & Charity

Once thing we at Sir Walter Running love to do is contribute to charities that we, as runners, enjoy every day. One way we can do that is by having charity beers at the Sir Walter Miler Pre and Post Party. So every year, we reach out to some of our favorite breweries and ask them to contribute a “runner-friendly” beer. All sales of these beers go towards the charity of our choosing. We have contributed to the Umstead Coalition, Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, and are excited to keep working with incredible breweries and running-centric charities every year. Our 2019 Beneficary & Breweries

	The 2019 benefiary is Kay Yow Cancer Fund, a local 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to the fight against all Women’s cancers.
	Wicked Weed is a long time friend of Sir Walter, and in 2019 they will bring back the “Summer of Miles Pale Ale,” which will also be available at select bars and bottle shops around Raleigh!
	Not only the home of the Pre and Post Party, Raleigh Brewing Co. has always created special brews for the event, and this year they again made the “Sir Sandman Kolsch,” a hoppy, true to style Kolsch style ale that should be quite refreshing on an August evening.
