5 Things About Me: Aidan Ryan
- I’m from New York, NY, and grew up running in Central Park with my older sister, Lucy.
- I attended Williams College, a D3 school in the rural Massachusetts where I studied physics.
- I finished my eligibility at the University of Washington. I would have been the slowest member of my house’s 4xmile team with a 3:53. An eye opening experience, and an incredible year.
- Outside of running, I love cooking and playing guitar.
- I grew up in an NYC apartment, and my parents didn’t let us get a dog. Our compromise, being New Yorkers, was two pet rats.

- When you’re not training, what’s one of your favorite activities? Playing my acoustic guitar (trying to learn bluegrass)
- Do you have any connections to Raleigh and/or North Carolina? Yes! Shoutout to the Stroupe family from Boone. Kristen Stroupe was my coach and mentor from 6th-12th grade, and now lives with her family in Durham.
