Meet the Competitors: Caitlin Bullock
Caitlin Bullock | @CaitBull | Women’s Mile
Caitlin won the Magnificent Mile last year in Raleigh, but tends to really excel in the longer distances. She ran in the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston, and has already qualified for the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials in Los Angeles. She recently ran a big PR of 1:14:24 at Grandma’s Half Marathon. You can follow her training on her blog.
5 Things About Me: Caitlin Bullock
-
I’ve been a redhead and a vegan ever since I was born. That’s right, I’ve never eaten meat and won’t unless you trick me into it.
-
I ran at Wake Forest University and thought nothing could get better than that! Fortunately, post-collegiate running is just as (if not more!) exciting.
-
I recently PRed in the half marathon by 3 minutes and 21 seconds. That’s 16s faster per mile.
-
I work full time for Bank of America in the Digital Banking space, but I’ve still managed to put in the training necessary to qualify for two Olympic Trials Marathons (2012 and 2016).
-
My husband recently retired from Minor League baseball to pursue a Physical therapy degree from Duke. Not to one up him or anything, but I’m also starting my Duke Cross Continent MBA the next day after this mile race.
