Lucas Manring | @lmanr800 | Men’s Mile
Lucas Manring is a Missouri native turned Texan. He’ll take on four laps rather than two for the Sir Walter Miler. He specialized in the 800m throughout college with a PR of 1:48.43. He was a 5-time NAIA All-American and now competes for the Austin Track Club.
5 Things About Me: Lucas Manring
Won back-to-back Missouri state titles in the 800m (’07 / ’08). Ran both races wire-to-wire.
Grew up in Stockton, Missouri, home of black walnuts, unmatched spots for cliff diving, and frequent tornado drills.
Ran four years for Central Methodist University and earned a degree in accounting, because, well, bills.
Hidden talents: trombone and piano playing, skateboarding, juggling.
Started running at age 12 because my sister was trying to get in shape, but didn’t want to jog alone.
