Meet the Competitors: Kristen Findley

Kristen ran at Vanderbilt University in Nash-Vegas, Tennessee, where she studied biomedical engineering and Spanish. She now lives in Austin, Texas and runs for Rogue Athletic Club/Adidas and works as a design engineer for a medical device company. She debuted in the 5000m this year with a 15:58, and her 1500 PR is 4:14 from last year. The mile is her favorite event, which bodes well for us on August 1, 2014, cause that’s all we got!

5 Things About Me: Kristen Findley

1. Before a runner, I was a downhill ski racer.

2. I am a huge adrenaline junkie (have skydived, bungee-jumped, and climbed the Matterhorn).

3. I lived in Saudi Arabia for several years (this is where I first began running).

4. You are equally likely to find me out on the town dancing to Jason Derulo/Snoop Dogg’s “Wiggle” as doing a crossword or jigsaw at home on a Friday night.

5. Geoff Tabin (who you have probably never heard of) is my ultimate hero.
